About Crossfeed
Crossfeed reduces the artificial “in-the-head” separation of stereo recordings on headphones by mixing a small amount of each channel into the other, the way your ears would naturally hear sound from speakers. The result is a wider, more comfortable stereo image with less listening fatigue.
- Direct and Assist modes – Choose between traditional and modern, simplified crossfeed behavior
- Cutoff, Feedback, Highshelf, Boost – Full control over the crossfeed network and HF compensation
- Focus and Width – Fine-tune the final stereo image
- Regulate – Automatic gain control prevents unexpected level changes
- Visualizations – Lissajous, Polar Sample, Polar Level, and Spectrum (FFT) views
- Factory presets – MOYish, NATURAL, and additional starting points
Installation Components
- Crossfeed Standalone Application – Use Crossfeed system-wide with a Virtual Audio Device
- Crossfeed VST3 Plug-In – For use inside any VST3-compatible DAW
- Crossfeed Audio Unit (AU) Plug-In – For use inside Logic Pro, GarageBand, and other AU hosts
- Crossfeed AAX Plug-In – For use inside Pro Tools (when included in this build)
We recommend installing all available formats for maximum flexibility across the apps you use.
Technical note: Crossfeed supports sample rates up to 192 kHz with 64-bit floating-point internal processing. Universal Binary builds run natively on Apple Silicon (M1/M2/M3) and Intel Macs.
